Alarming Footage Reveals Moment Officers Suffer Blade Attacks in Unexpected Assault

Both Sergeants Instants Prior to the Aggressor Was Tasered

A senior officer who jumped to the assistance of a fellow officer who was ambushed by a knife attacker was granted the King's Commendation for Courage.

Sgt Tim Ansell fought with 27-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he placed a knife to the neck of his fellow officer Sgt Marc Foster.

Brown began the violence as the officers and their partner, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were talking to a driver after a road collision in that location in July 2023.

Brown attacked with blade the two Sgt Ansell and Sergeant Foster before Police Constable Wolstencroft stunned him with a Taser.

"Policeman stabbed," PC Wolstencroft stated over his radio.

The department said Sgt Foster employed his hands to stem his colleague's hemorrhaging prior to medical personnel reached the scene.

The new recognition arrives subsequent to the three officers were granted organizational Bravery Awards in late 2023 and the John Egerton Bravery Award from the local officer association in early 2024.

They further earned a Area Courage Honor in July 2024.

"The responses of each policeman in the end protected one another and meant no civilians suffered any injuries."

Brown was given to an psychiatric detention in early 2024, as stated by the department.
