Two Individuals Charged with Inmate Homicide of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.
Watkins, 48 years old, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
